bloating

persistent bloating.  Comes on gradually, then it is as something is growing inside. Yogurt, stomach medications offer no relief.  Must avoid certain foods at all costs(beer, wheat, nuts) when this comes on,  but I have already cut out those altogether anyway.  At the height of it, wake up in a sweat, suffer from dizziness and mental cloudiness.  Sometimes systemic reactions -- flu-like symptoms (extreme fatigue, pain, intestinal stress).  It feels like my blood has poison in it (strange, but that is best way I can describe it).

I have the same symptoms as you and I also feel as if a poison is running through my blood. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia but I don't believe its all fibromyalgia.

You should check to see if it's lyme disease, which among other things can cause severe digestive problems. also, i agree with others that this could be a bacteria overgrowth or fungus problem. good for you about changing your diet. i had lyme (although my symptoms weren't digestive) and it inspired me to make drastic changes in my diet. i'm now on a totally raw, vegan, high-fruit diet, similar to the 811/hcrv diet on 30bananasaday.com. good luck!

Sorry for the delayed response.  I have been seriously considering checking out a naturopathic doctor and a nutritionist perhaps.  I did have a complete physical and all my blood work turned out perfect.  I have been trying to eliminate certain foods - wheat and dairy to start, but moving on to others as well, one at a time.  I suspect allergies of some sort, since I have lots of air-borne allergies to begin with.  thanks for your help!

You need to see your doctor for a complete physical to find out what is causing this.  He will probably refer you to a gastroenterologist as this is their specialty.

I would highly recommend you go see a holistic or naturopathic doctor. You may have an overgrowth of unhealthy bacteria in your digestive tract, and when you don't digest your food properly, you can expect the type of symptoms you are experiencing. They can check you for candida and h. pylori, or at least rule that out and recommend how to detoxify your system and get your system back on track. Also they can determine food allergies, etc.
