Thank you for responding.   I have another question what does a dilated vessel deformity in the liver mean? Is this something that needsto be followed up. Previously it was seen as a benign hemangioma.

Melanosis coli is typically found when forms of certain stimulant laxatives are used. It's a darkening or blackening of the tissues due to the presence of anthraquinone in the laxative. The use of stimulant laxatives is generally frowned upon.

Hi, it is difficult to predict when the polyps may recur. Most benign polyps are classified as one of two types: adenomatous (adenomas) and hyperplastic. Adenomatous polyps (adenomas) of the colon and rectum are benign (noncancerous) growths, but may be precursor lesions to colorectal cancer. The chance of having polyps is also increased in patients with a family history of colorectal polyps or colorectal cancer, including inherited disorders such as Gardner’s syndrome and familial adenomatous polyposis.  So, if you have a strong family history then you may need constant monitoring, please follow up with your doctor. Regards.
