constant belching

I have had a problem with belching for almost one year.  I did see a doctor a year ago, and he did not order any testing, just advised that I try to stop swallowing  excessive air while eating and drinking.  This week I saw another doctor, and had a lab test performed for H. Pylori, which proved to be positive.  I will begin a two week course of a large amount of antibiotics, starting tomorrow.  On checking with relatives, I have discovered that they had the same symptoms, again, positive for H.Pylori, took the antibiotics, and all of them are now perfectly fine.  I sure hope this is the answer to this problem but  I would  strongly suggest everyone that has this problem to be tested for this intestinal bacteria.  Sure hope this is the magic bullet to get rid of this once and for all.

I too have had constant belching for 1 year.  Dr. said I was swallowing air.  I disagreed with her and insisted on a test for H pylori,  Blood test was positive, took triple therapy, had breath test after and that was negative.  H pylori all gone.
