loose stools, no pain, but weight loss

my husband has been suffering loose stools after eating meals for about 1 1/2 months. He normally has to evacuate about 15-30 minutes after eating. He has lost 17 lbs during this time. He has no pain or bloated feelings. His stools are loose but not discolored or floating, they are however rather smelly.  He does occasionally have a small amount of blood with this, but he has a history of hemorroids.  I was wondering what all this could be causing this.

Yes, I agree see a doctor and make sure the dr knows that he has lost 17 lbs in 1/2 months.  I would skip the gp and go straight to the Gastroenterologist.

Best of luck

I wouldn't second guess this, anytime we have weight loss without trying we need to see our doctor.  He's lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time and that's not a good sign.  He needs to see a Gastroenterologist and go from there. Good luck and take care.
