endoscopy

Will  my husband be able to come in with me for my upper  gi endoscopy. It will help me relax more if he could be there

Yeah he was not allowed to come back at all not even the recovery room. I was so scared the whole time and he was too. We got though it and found out have no ulcers but have to have another test on the function of the gallbladder.

i think not, i wish they would let them but none of my drs will i would like mine to be with me when i have my colonoscopy but he says he not want be in there lol. but i do know when you wake up they are with you and its such a short time to be under. i also have anxiety/fears of being put to sleep but sometimes we have to do it to stay healthy. good luck and keep us up-todate on how you do.

I had one, and my partner was not allowed to come in with me. But as soon as they put the needle into my arm, I was out cold completely. He was with me once I woke up again.

He probably won't be able to go into the procedure room with you, but should be able to be with you until they take you into the room.  However, you could ask your doctor if it would be possible for him to actually accompany you into the room - simply tell the doctor it would help you be more relaxed if he were there and they may allow it.
