feel like something is stuck in my throat

Hi everyone, on 3/13/11 i ended up in the ER because a piece of apple got stuck in my throat, Dr's took x ray an found nothing. since then I feel i still have it stuck in my throat, can some one help me by sharing similar experience and telling me what help and how long it took to go away.is it possible for it to still be stuck in my throat? I have no job and no insurance so going back to the doctor would only add to all this anxiety and panic attack.  Please I really need some advise, feel like I am going crazy.

I am not experiencing any chest pain or nausea, just the feeling of the piece of apple still caught there. I will follow your advise and will stay away from fatty foods. Should not be difficult since i am not eating much because of the fear of making the feeling worse. Hope that all turns out well for you when your test results come in. I will keep you posted, thanks for your response and good luck to you as well.

It could be acid reflux. Do you have any upper chest pain or nausea? I ended up in the hospital in September 2010 with this. Thought I was having a heart attack. They did all the test for my heart. The whole works. They then said it was acid reflux caused by the predisone I was taking for a rash. It's very common for predisone to do that. But I now have this feeling like something is caught in my throat all the time. An Endoscopy would help, but since you don't have health coverage, which can be very stressful and make the situation worse, please try to revise your diet. No fatty foods. You can buy over the counter drugs like Zantac and things like that. See if they help. If not, you may have to go the route of the Doctor. A GI doctor is best in these situations. Unfortunately my problems are a lot more complicated. My issues are caused by other stomach issues which I am in the process of having diagnosed. Had all the test I needed, now it's just wait and see the results and what to do next. Good Luck and repost so we can all see how you are doing.
