feeling of something stuck in my throat

For the past week and a half, it has felt like something is stuck in the back of my throat - almost like a piece of popcorn husk didn't make it all the way down my throat.

I noticed some bumps at the back of my throat, but I have no idea if they have always been there or not.  Of course, looking this topic up on the web reveals some very scary possibilities.

Any thoughts on what might be the cause of this and how concerned i need to be?

thank you for your help.

I have had the same sensation approx 3-4" down my throat for over 5 weeks now, apparently first thing in the morning i feel very little but after 1-2 hours the feeling comes back, it appears to be a sharp sensation as if something is scrapping the artery of my throat.
feels just like i was eating some nuts and one was stuck half way down and each time i swallow the nut was scrapping the wall of my throat, the sensation is very irritating.

NOT SURE WHAT IT IS!

Have you been running a fever or had a sore throat? Are the bumps you see white? Just wondering if maybe you have strep? Sometimes the 'blisters' feel like a popcorn husk. At least I've had that before. Just trying to help.
