Ok. So I just took the sample and will turn it in today ASAP.
Which means I can take the meds now. (well, when I'm supposed to according to the schedule)
Unfortunately my lab closes at 5, so I'll have to do it soon.
As for the symptoms, it was diarrhea that wouldn't go away for a week. Then after a week of Metronidazole, he prescribed those two meds. (slight gut pain too). but that was it. Hopefully this will close the problem.
Hi Gregory..agree with CalGal. The cipro is an antibiotic and may "mask" the stool sample results. The other is an anti diahrrea med, and will...well make it tougher to provide said sample..lol. May wanna also check out probiotics during your antibiotic round - there are a few brands that will "survive" the cipro and help replenish your gut (Florastor is one). Is your hospital's "main lab" open 24 hours? Some are, and you could drop off the sample and still go on your trip - may wanna check that out too. Good luck.
Hi gregory, what are your symtomps?or complaints?just trying to figure out why he prescribed the two drugs for you
Geh. This sucks. Now I have to WAIT until I can go. Which means I probably won't be able to do the sample until TOMORROW.
Which means I can't take the meds until at least then.
Do the sample tomorrow and then start the meds.
