WorriedOne84 is right. Without having your gallbladder removed you will probably still have attacks. The pain itself can come from several different things... One being a stone stuck in the duct. If that is the case sometimes you can vomit violently enough to shake it loose... But that is not recommended. Plus it doesn't solve the problem. The next pain is from the inflammation and infection that is in the gallbladder from the stone. The swelling can get so bad that your gallbladder can press on your diaphragm and cause back and chest pain. You should check with a clinic near you to get it removed. When I had to get mine removed the pain was so bad that they just admitted me strait from the ER. Yeah I still get bills for the procedure but at least I don't have to live with constant pain.
Best of luck and God bless!

My gallbladder troubles started last year when I was 25 as well.  I had 3 gallbladder in less than a month due to a gallstone, so I ended up having my gallbladder removed in December.  You're diet should consist of foods that are low in fat.  Also eat several smaller meals instead of 2-3 large ones.  As far as the attacks go, I really don't know what to tell you to do to help with the pain.  Don't know how well OTC pain relievers would work if your attacks are as bad as mine were.  Ask your doctor what you should do when you have an attack.  The only position that made mine bearable was to sit on the edge of the bed and lean slightly forward.  I couldn't stand up straight or lay down at all.
