gastric sleeve or SOMETHING

My weight is 140, and ever since I gained the last 13 lbs I developed pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, reflux, snoring, and high cholesterol.  I have heart disease.  Am I still a candidate for the surgery? I have Medicare.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
There are two recent studies that look at lower BMI patients with type II diabetes and sleeve gastrectomies that look promising. My understanding of the current requirements for medical necessity are a BMI of 30 or greater with 2 co-mordidities. That means you could be no taller than 4' 9" to be over this BMI with a sustained weight of 140 pounds.
