hard hollow shell in stool

I found a rigid capsule-shaped hollow shell in my stool. It was 1 1/4 long. I put one of every pill I take into jars with water. They all dissolved or tuned to mush. A fish oil capsule swelled up into a rubbery mess and collapsed. The item in my poo had a thin hard shell like a chicken egg. I plucked it out of the side of a solid poo with a toothpick. None of the pills I tested were solid enough to lift with a toothpick. I'm freaked. It has been over a week since I dropped the item off at the doctor's office. I did take pictures if that helps people understand, but I don't see how to attach them.

Go on line and look up "ghost pills", these are shells of medications or vitamins undigested. If they have somethig inside it is a full pill undigested. Metformin XR has been reported to come out in your poo. Check tht out also if u are on Metformin XR. Be glad these are coming out and not remaining inside. I also had them just recently and I disinfected everythng and disected it, white mash potatoe substance inside, everyone says the same thing when directed. This is not a ghost pill, but if a shell only yes.

Is that the size of any of your pills? Exposing them to water wouldn't be the same process as exposing them to your digestive tract.

In your pics, the one where you've dissolved them in water, the lower right one looks to be a similar color. Is that a pill or a capsule? If it's a pill, I don't think it would have turned into a capsule, but it might be a capsule that didn't dissolve.

I posted photos in my profile, including an attempt to replicate the empty hard capsule. All the pill I take turned to mush when exposed to water.
