I have had every test you can imagine. I have had pain for over 1 and ½ years now. I was in the ER after 6 months of pain. The I was sent for cat scans, ultra sounds, endoscopy, A was sent to 2 surgeons they wanted to have my gallbladder removed. I also went to doctors including pain management THEN…..I went to an acupuncturist and she said after only looking at me for a few minutes that I have Costoschondritis then I went back to the second pain management doctor and he said you know what I think she is right it most likely it is Costoschondritis and possible Tietze syndrome. So he gave me steroids, and pain patch and anti inflammatory medication. I was supposed to get a block but I didn’t really want to do that.
The steroids took the edge so the pain away but I still have pain daily. It is very annoying it hurts to do mostly everything that involves moving my right arm. I am posting this only because after hours of searching the web no one mentioned this at all if you Google the name you would be surprised at the symptoms of this it was a shock!
Sound exactly like my symptoms. I had my gallbladder removed in the ER when they mistakenly thought that it was the cause of my pain. That was 4/28/2009 and now I'm still suffering. I just went to the ER again today because the pain is so horrible. I'm supposed to follow up with a pulmonologist since they already tried the nerve blocking injections and they didn't work either. Let me know what you find out.
when you had your gall bladder taken out... what exactly were your symptoms that made you go get it checked out... :(?
