just a question.. do you think with any posibility of it being a tumor? just wondering from what i have told you and everything.. just wondering..?
it has been exactly 2 weeks today since i have been to the hospital the first time.. i still have a little bit of diariha but not to much and im not throwing up anymore.. anyyways, i still feel really bad pain but not as bad as the first day.. and i got a bunch of test done onme and they all came out good except for the appendx being a litle bit enlarged but not on the verge of bursting and they told me that the cyst will just to take time to go away. Im not doing more test done, they are doing a poop sample to check for worms and then im going to go and see and gynecologist and gastroenterologist sometime this week or next week. but I still am feeling the pain but am kinda just getting used to t but i am still very scared and still nobody has given me answers except for my ovaries being in close approximity to my appendix.. aaaand yeah, thats about it but i will keep everybody posted
As for ovarian cysts either staying or going away, I would point out that every ovulating woman in the world has a follicular cyst rupture every time that they ovulate. That's roughly a billion cysts a month that resolve spontaneously. This would not necessarily apply when multiple larger cysts are present.
Thanks MAMMO. I wanted to come back and modify my statement anyway, that ovarian cysts do not go away on their own. SOME do. It depends on various factors. But the fact that you have pain, the fact that you have multiple cysts, all COULD mean these are not the type of cysts that go away, and in fact may be the source of your pain.
Also, I had told you, YESENIA, that you could take "Senecot" to relieve your constipation, but it turns out if you DO have a problem with your appendix, then you should NOT use laxatives. I'm SO sorry I said that. After I had posted, I was looking into exactly what size an appendix might be that looks like it's going to burst, and that's when I read laxatives are a no-no until they figure out what in the world you have, and then you follow the doc's instructs. So, forgettabout laxatives! DO NOT USE LAXATIVES. Sorry again. GG
Ovarian cysts do go away on their own and only need to be watched...not for cancer but to make sure they don't get so big that they impinge on other organs, which rarely happens. I doubt you have an OB-GYN at your age but now that you have the cyst you should see one and to rule out any other issues. You need to see a Gastroenterologist for an evaluation ASAP. One doesn't always get a fever with appendicitis. If you can't get in to see a GI doctor immediately, go back to the ER and ask that they get a GI doctor in to see you. Tell them exactly what is going on and that your appendix is enlarged and they need to determine "why". Let us know what you find out.
Whoever told you an ovarian cyst would go away is poorly trained in gynecology. They can just sit there and do nothing, but they can also get bigger and turn into cancer. Also, while your appendix has been declared normal, it IS rather large they also said, and to me that suggests you got an appendix about to burst, not good compared to getting it out sooner.
If you've been constipated for quite sometime now, like a week or so, with just a little coming out, then I can tell you if you'll take this natural sort of medicine called "Senocot," it's over-the-counter laxative, one pill one day, and another pill next day, and your waste will come out of there. Drink plenty of water when you take one of those pills. You are probably throwing up from being so constipated that food has nowhere else to go.
But you could also very well be throwing up because you do have a problem with the ovary or the appendix. But for the life of me, I cannot understand why the docs did not respond to the results on the CT scan that clearly showed a cyst on your ovary and an overly large appendix. And the fact that you have been passing out, GEE WHIZ, what does it take to get a G.I. specialist down there into the emergency room and look you over????
Only other thing I can tell you, hon, is when I was just about your age, I had a HORRIBLE pain, tearing, ripping, VERY painful, in my lower gut, but it was associated with my period, so I figured must have had something to do with that. I think you should go see your gynecologist or regular doc (assuming you go to one) as an emergency squeeze-in appointment THIS WEEK. See can the hospital send your scan pictures over to her.
Or you can go back down to the hospital and explain to them that you have GOT to see a gastro specialist immediately, and that they've done a scan that showed an abnormal appendix, but sent you away, and you've been passing out and throwing up and feel all sorts of pain in your lower abdomen since you were last there. Tell them the pictures also showed an ovarian cyst on there and so a gynecologist needs to check you out, too. Tell them you need a wheelchair so you won't pass out and hurt yourself.
Let us know what happens. I am worried about you. Let's hope SOMEone can tell you what is going on. And before you leave from the hospital, if you decide to go back there, ask them for your scan pictures to be put on a disk so you can show it to a specialist.
