throat sensation

I have a constant feeling of somethings in my throat and the need to cough it up.  Could this all be irrirated by not liquids, a certain food or other products that go down my throat?  I would appreciate all input having to do with this irritation.

RJost, it could be globus. It's a sensation that is the result of irritation at the lower end of the esophagus that is 'relayed' to the top of the throat area. It typically indicates something to do with acid reflux. Check with your doc.

Have a dr check it out.  I was having trouble and could not swollow pills.  I had an ulcer and dr cut out some scar tissue in my esophagus during the scope for my ulcer.  Cured my problem.

Sounds like something went down the wrong pipe.
This takes time.  It will repair itself but it is not an easy process.
