tight throat

i have been experiening tight throat for the past week.  I suffer form generalized anxiety from time to time.  I took a benedryl thinking it might be alergies but after i eat it tends to get worse.  I don't have a problem eating or drinking.
Is this acid reflux?  Or allergies?

I have this exact same thing. I'm going to see my GI doctor tomorrow. I do suffer from GERD but another doctor thinks I may have an infection on my thyroid.

I'll try the exercise too, can't hurt!

One other possibility is thyroid..a goiter can grow inwards a put pressure on the throat do you notice a bump like feeling when you swallow? 1 in every 10 middle age women get some form of thyroid trouble its determined by a blood test and maybe a neck utrasound...might be all gastro  just bringing up a possibility

Sounds like acid reflux. Next time this happens, try taking an antacid and see whether that helps.
