Enlarged liver and spleen

Had a liver biopsy done last year and diagnosed  PORTAL FIBROSIS AND MINIMAL CHRONIC INFLAMMATION and now liver and spleen enlarged again....So on my 3rd gast he said liver biopsy means its just scared I don't have Portal fibrosis so I family doc said they just D**king around me..which I know been threw 3 gast and he says nothing to worry about of course as I recall 1st one left me to die second gast said I had lymphoma n now this ones says nothing to worry about..plus he said my liver and spleen has nothing to do with what's going on with me huh...told me to go back to family doc..what in the world would they do? Nothing!! So today I was in there n told him I ain't coming back n no use sitting here while u type on ur computer and don't look at me..So I told him I am Kicking him the Curb and I walked out! So having enlarged liver and spleen is cause by a under line problem?? So I am just sick of these doctors that say nothing to worry about so now I have to be Very careful not to fall cause of the spleen and while I am suffering from liver pain AGAIN... So again should I be worried?? Any info be helpful Thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Hepatosplenomegaly i.e. liver and spleen enlargement can be caused due to a number of reasons such as infections, inflammations, portal-hypertension, blood disorders, metabolic causes, hormonal/ endocrine causes, growths/ masses etc; and may not necessarily be related to GI causes. I would suggest considering a detailed evaluation by an internist initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
