Trapped gas and tense abdominal/back muscles?

I had a hysterectomy (full, everything out) back in October. I have always had a sensitive GI system.

Here's what is presently happening: On Wednesday and Thursday I had some corn on the cob, about two ears each day. Corn never digests perfectly for me as a rule.

Well, Thursday night (after the corn ingestion) I also got one of those diaphragm spasms, you know like how you can get a muscle around the rib area that contracts strongly for about 20 seconds, just like a calf muscle, then it goes away? Well, Thursday night I got one of those on the left side and my entire side of my abdomen seemed like the muscles were all tense! It lasted for 20/30 seconds and was done.

Friday morning, I woke up with trapped gas AND tense and sore muscles in the abdomen and back. Connection? Saturday I was much better but then it kicked back up again Sunday morning, same as Friday, and same thing today. I have like gassiness around the rib area, sometimes gas pains that hit my entire abdomen, it goes everywhere, along with very tight abdomen and back muscles too.

Is it possible that there's a connection between like tense abdominal/back muscles spasming and not helping the gas that is trapped, maybe from the corn? Like it's all mixed?

No fever, I can sleep just fine or am not in any acute distress. It's just this combination of trapped gas and tight abdomen and back muscles. The two things I can connect is the corn and the weird muscle spasms that took place Thursday evening which started all of this.

Anyone have this?

Does anyone get a spasm or tightness for a few sec in the right hip area with trapped gas or IBS? I think part of the colon is around that area...Maybe the descending colon?

Yes, I have gas that seems to be trapped in my stomach and it feels like it tenses up my back muscles.  I have have to regurgitate food up back into my mouth.  Just got diagnosed with rumination syndrome by the Mayo Clinic and a doctor there told me to do some muscle relaxation exercises as well as breathing exercises to help my stomach muscles relax and to prepare for a program they have to help me go to the bathroom better and have regular bowl movements.
