? gallstones with raised lfts

two monthsago had an episode of very acute upper right sided pain just under my ribs. Got steadily worse radiating to my back and shoulder. Felt very scared and it lasted for about two hours. The pain came in waves and was almost unbearable. Stopped quite suddenly but had a tenderness middle right under ribs (Which is still there) Had another attack two weeks ago , very  severe again ,sweating nausea shaking etc. Severity lasted an hour or so then felt tender and sore all night being wakened by it on and off. Had lfts done which were raised (not sure which) Told to stop drinking for a month (not a heavy drinker) Waiting for ultrasound.worried about how long it will take. Will everything show up even if theses episodes were a few weeks ago.?

I am assuming you mean raincastle, as I had my appendix out in 1987, so they knew it wasn't that. Also, most hospitals ask for a history, so they would know if there was a possibility of appendicitis if that person hadn't had it removed (",)

I had my gallbladder taken out. The same exact thing happened to me. Its worse than birth contractions. The best thing you can do when youu have one is breath, i know its hard to when they happen but you gotta try and breath and think otherwise. Try to stay away from fatty foods and junk eat healthier, and try to relax. If it is gall stones they will show up in a ultrasound. (:  gallbladder attacks are really annoying and hurt EXTREMELY bad. dont be suprised if you throw up excessively while you have one.

what about your apendix, I had pain similar to that and went for a cat scan which should nothing...then went to the ER a few days later, where they gave me another cat scan and next  I knew I was being rushed for my apendix to be removed.

Gall Stones are a real pain, mainly the pain is brought on by dairy & fatty foods. You can usually tell which aggravates your gall bladder more if you keep a food diary and then you can pinpoint what foods affect you more when you have an attack. They recommend you cut out fat completely because your gallbladder cannot cope. I was told I had the common disease for a w'WOMAN OF YOUR AGE' and when I asked what they meant, they said a woman with the 5F classification.
Fair
Fat
Fertile
Female
Forties
A very rude classification I might add, considering men get this disease & so do young people.
It got to the point that they had to remove my gall bladder because I was getting a severe attack, requiring morphine every 2 or 3 days
