My son is 12 months old. When we went for his well-child visit this week he was unable to recieve his immunizations due to a generalized nonspecific rash, normal physical exam, and I was told it is a contact dermatitis. His only meds are Zantac for GERD. On his CBC:
WBC 10.2
RBC 4.45
HGB 12.1
HCT 34.3
MCV/MCH/MCHC/RDW/PLT all wnl
Neutrophil low at 3.7
Lymphs high at 82.4
Mono high at 11.4
Segs VERY low at 5
slight microcytosis and occasional Ovalocytes and occasional DACROCYTES
Any ideas? His lab has been sent for path review, pending
perhaps the neutropenia is from Zantac?
What about the Dacrocytes, does it necessarily mean disease?
