Anal fingering +cold +IBS - the cause of stomach pains?

I got weird situation.
On May 28th (monday) I got cold/virus infection. Two days before that the first symptoms, like sore throat, started but on monday it went full mode. Got typical symptoms (sore throat, shivers, muscles pains, headaches etc), my temp. was 101.4F (38,6C) that day but I managed to lower it down to 98.9F(37,3C) the next day.  I was taking high doses of vit C (about 10-12 grams per day) and some calcium and vitamins. And I still take those (today is the 6 day)

However, before the cold got into full mode that day, I decided to masturbete by anal fingering. I used only one finger and only halfway inserted (like 1-2 inch of finger), no lube. At some point, the activity was kinda intense but I checked for any pains/discomfort - there wasn't any. There was no blood, even checked my poop for it, but during those 6 days there wasn't any blood traces.

I also have IBS.

And here goes the problem. Through this week my temp. is between 97.8 - 98.6F (36,6-37C)and it stays that way no matter what. But I got this feeling that I got fever, my muscles get really warm and are sore, got shivers and start sweating but the temp. stays always the same. And those come in waves through the day and between them I feel kinda good. I also feel sometimes nauseous, weak, got muscles pains (especially in my thighs - got this pain/warmth sensations). And got stomach pains with the burning and warmth feeling. Most of the time its in my right side (from ribs to leg) but sometimes it also in my abdomen or even my whole stomach.

And now I'm not sure what's going on. Is it IBS flare that sync with cold/virus infection? That after the cold/virus was dealt with the IBS took charge? Or is it cold/virus aftermath symptoms. Or, in worst case scenario, during anal fingering I somehow hurt myself and got stomach infection/inflammation? Could it be possible? I'm sure that even tho the fingering at some point was intense I still was carefull and do it as I should.

To be honest it feels like IBS flare with the  last symptoms of cold but at this point I'm not sure.

Should I go to my GP right away on monday or wait a little bit and see if it's just IBS flare that will go on its own? My GP can only do blood work or send me to specialist (waiting to one can take some weeks) or hospital. Unfortunatelly my GP won't perform any rectal check

It sounds like you've gotten your questions and concerns answered and it's time to follow what the doctors have told you and stop worrying. If they thought there was a real need for you to see a specialist, they would have sent you!  Take care of yourself over the next week...…..eat well, rest as much as you can, get a lot of sleep and see how you feel next week. If you are still not feeling 100%, see the doctor again. Some bacteria and infections can be difficult to get rid of, but your doctors will keep good track of your progress and make you well. It is important that you trust your doctors and relax so you can get well. Worrying will do nothing to help! Take care and get well.

IBS is not something you should attempt to "fix" yourself. While some of your symptoms do seem to be clearing up, there are enough left that I believe you should consult your doctor. It IS your body and it IS your health, but I believe you wrote to us for advice and both of us have advised seeing your doctor. We wish you the best outcome.

I went today to my GP. Told all the symptoms and my fears. After asking some questions (like if I feel pain while urinating? - that's a no - or got any pains in my anus/rectum area? -still no - or got sore throat and etc. - it hurts a bit but only throat) they told me that it's still the cold/virus infection. That because of getting totally chilled one night I got it back on track and that's why it takes a while to get rid of it.
They told me that now I shouldn't worry about the temp. until it won't go down by the next week or it will rise up to 100.4F (38 C) or higher so if that happen they will give me antibiotics. For IBS they told me to stop taking vit. C because it was the cause of the IBS flare. (high doses of vit c are great If you want to get rid of common cold or heal cold sore in 3 days, take down a fever quickly - but it can irritate stomach by giving you flatulence)
And as for masturbarion issue, after describing how it went, they told me it was highly impossible that I would hurt my self but if I really want I can see proktologist. However they don't see the point because as I describe it - even at some point it was intense there was no pain, discomfort and blood during and afterwards even a week after. I'm convinced a bit but somehow still worry about that

Up date.
I think its getting better, but it's kinda stretch in time. And maybe it was only cold with IBS?

On monday (jun 4) I started feeling really decent. My temp. oscillate between 97.8 - 98.6F (36,6-37C). Stomach pains are almost non existent. The pain is still located mainly on my right side and got some pains here and there, but its at least 90% lower than it was at saturday (june 2). The same goes with muscles pains other symptoms. Everything got really lower or disappeared. The only thing that stayed are those "fever" waves through the day. But most of the time I don't feel them or I just feel a bit more warm than usual. I'm still a bit weak/sluggish especially though the "waves" but between all of that I feel really fine like I was almost healthy again. I also lowered the doses of vit. C because while it helps fight infection/fever it gives me flatulence so it can irritate my stomach so the IBS is more intense.

At this point my guess is that while at monday (may 28) it started as a cold/virus infection I've triggered IBS by using high dosage vit. C so that's why got stomach pains. And my other guess is because it suddenly got worse at saturday(June 2) (at this day my temp. jumped up to 98.6F (37.5C) and the stomach pains got worse) it's because I accidentally fell asleep without any cover and woke up at night really chilled and feeling bad, so the cold/other symptoms get back again with full force with the morning.

For now my plan is to completely stop taking any meds by lowering them and if the symptoms will get back at the end of the week or still be there as they are now I'll go and see a doctor.

Maybe you just need to get better about washing your hands.   Getting fecal matter or traces in your mouth can cause fever, nausea, and/or vomiting.

However, you should always visit a doctor if you having persistent systems.

I'm sorry, but your symptoms are all over the map and I sincerely believe only a doctor is going to be able to sort them. Since you have IBS, some tests may be needed, which, of course, we can not do. I think it would be extremely prudent for you to see your doctor as soon as you can to find the root cause of these symptoms. We wish you the best outcome.
