Hello~I am so sorry that you are going thru this stress, I would be concerned as well.
Probably, more than likely, it really is benign however, but hearing it from the professional is always more reassuring. I would call the Mayo clinic and see if they can help.
Oh, I can certainly understand being annoyed and anxious waiting. Yeesh. That's a bit unprofessional. On the plus side to keep in mind is that their pathologist (who went to med school like the Mayo Clinic docs) felt it was benign and this is a confirmation. I would guess that that opinion will not change. Of course, you want that to be official. I wonder if you could call Mayo directly yourself? Talk to pathology there? And your doctor being on vacation, he 'should' have a doctor covering for him while unavailable. I'd ask to speak to that doctor directly. Be a pain in the butt . . . someone should try to help you if you are. :>)
