Can too much zinc cause dark urine?

I've recently began taking 100 mgs of zinc to improve my skin, but I've noticed my urine is dark now. Is that normal from zinc or blood in my urine?

Are you staying hydrated?  It's important to make sure you are drinking plenty of water.  Sometimes dark urine (orange colored) can be a sign of too much zinc- so if you just started the supplements and noticed a change- it wouldn't hurt, and I'd even encourage calling your doctor to make them aware of the change.  Typically someone can take 300 mgs and it is fine, but each person is unique and I'd personally rather check out something like this then just ignore it.

Yeah I drank two 17 oz bottles of water this morning. I just began using zinc last Friday. I don't have a primary care doctor I'm on my own. I have to be my own doctor... My question is... Is dark urine normal for a beginner of zinc?
