Chest pain

I recently had an injury accompanied with a lot of pain. So over the course of 2 days, I took 4 halves of Percocet. I cut them and half and took one in the morning and one at night for two days. Since then my chest and stomach have had a pulsing feeling of a sharp kind of hot pain. This pulse happens about once every minute or so.

When I was prescribed Percocet (about 3 months ago), I read up on my prescription on WebMD (I think).   Anyway, it warned me NOT to split the pill as it was time released and cutting would defeat its design and put too much into the blood stream.  Be very careful when you do not follow the prescription instructions.

Good luck.

thank you. Im relieved to hear that you don't think percocet is the cause. Hopefully its just a phase, seeming as it is much better today. Have a great day!

You should talk to your doctor, or go to an ER for evaluation. Your history is insufficent as to make an intelligent guess regarding your problem and resolution. The Percocet would not cause the pain.
