Cold Sore or Angular Cheilitis

Hey everyone,
  I recently went to the MedCheck and they told me I have a cold sore but the more and more I read online the more and more i think I have angular cheilitis. I was prescribed Acyclovir and Denavir at the Medcheck.

Is there any distinct ways to tell between the two? I'm only experiencing this redness at the right corner of my mouth and I've never experienced it before. I do have a little head cold at the moment but other than that I have no signs of sickness. I've attached some pictures! Please let me know of any remedies that can help get this awful thing off of my face as it's quite embarassing and annoying. Thanks in advance!

  and unfortunatley all the dermatologists around me have like a 2 week waiting period for non-patients :/

I am unable to see the pictures, but I would say to contact a dermatologist and ask him/her what it is and what to do for it.
