Could my allergic reaction have caused sensitivity to sound?

I had an allergic reaction on Sunday night to some nutritional supplements. I didn't realize that the plant based omega + DHA supplement I took had been expired for several years.

I became flush all over my body and very much so in my face. My ears were very red and felt very hot and swollen. I don't think that they were swollen but it felt like it to me. I went to the hospital and they gave me some benadryl which I've been taking since. I still have hives over my torso, arms, neck and face.

I've also noticed a sensitivity to sound. I've been recovering from a concussion for the last 6 weeks, and while I know that sensitivity to sound can be a symptom of concussions, I wasn't having this symptom until the allergic reaction.

I went to the doctor yesterday and was told that I don't have a noticable ear infection.

Could the reaction have done something else, like caused a fluid buildup behind the ear?

Should I wait until the hives and allergy symptoms go away and then reassess my hearing or should I seek some other kind of medical attention?

Thanks
