Dark vein after blood drawn?

So, I had blood drawn yesterday and my arm was pretty sore. I figured that's to be expected. But, today I woke up and my vein on that arm is dark and very bruised looking, going up my arm for like 6 inches or so. I know brusing can occur with blood withdrawal. The thing that's worrying me a little is that it looks perfectly fine at the needle entry site and the bruise is a line exactly where my vein is. Should I be worried about a blood clot or anything?

I don't think it is anything to be concerned over. I would say to put an ice pack on it, but it has been a few days now. Is it still like that? It could be just a bruise, if you want peace of mind, then call the lab, I sure would.

Hope it is better by now.

This should not be a cause of concern for you.
