Do I find there a reason to be alarmed?

I am a 19 year old female and I went to to the doctor about 3 weeks ago for random bruising and found that I had a high white blood cell count, low platelet count, and a high b12 count. I was told that I had a strep infection that went untreated with the first round of antibiotics from 2 months before which caused large random bruising, fatigue, and sharp pains in my hip (also the blood tests to be the way they were). I finished the second round of antibiotics two weeks ago. I am now sick for a 4th time and this time had about a teaspoon of blood in my phlegm when I woke up this morning and my lymph nodes on my neck are swollen. I have recently had what I believe to be night sweats as well but when I am not sleeping I am always cold. I also joke about needing a new hip because I do have sharp pains every once in a while in my hips. Do I go back to the doctor or am I over exaggerating? Anything helps.

Hello~You really do need to see doctor again, your infection obviously has not cleared up, which is why you have the swollen Lymph Nodes and blood in your sputum.

Have a done any tests for leukemia, I am not saying you have it, but the high white blood count and random bruising do have me concerned, I would certainly ask you GP about this possibility.

I hope you feel better soon.

You've sure been through the ringer.  Yes, go back to the doctor.  That's the prudent thing to do.  I wouldn't be alarmed as some viruses/ infections start overlapping and people have a hard time getting better but do.  You will, I'm sure.  So, hang in there and see what the doctor says this time.  good luck
