Fish scale stuck in hand?

Hi guys, new here so sorry if this is the wrong place. This is a really unusual question, and I couldn't find an answer anywhere else online so hopefully you can help.

Anyway, I was fishing about 2 weeks ago and was handling a bass when it thrashed in my hand. My hand went against the grain of its scales and it cut my hand a bit, nothing major at all. I washed it and assumed it was nothing. Well now, over 2 weeks later, the cut has completely healed but there is a faint purple bump on my hand where I was cut. The bump hurts if you apply pressure to it, similar to a really bad splinter.

I'm thinking a fish scale broke off into my hand and my hand healed over it, if that's even possible. I've been waiting it out and hoping it would come to the surface naturally like a splinter, but I'm not sure that's going to happen anymore. I don't want to risk infection or anything, but I'd rather not cut into my hand to remove it either. Has anyone heard of anything like this before, and what should I do?

Thanks in advance for the help.

If it is a scale and it healed over I suggest seeing your doctor!
