Flank pain when breathing deeply

Hi there, I'm a 22 year old female and for the past year and a half, I've been experiencing moderate flank pain and upper abdominal pain when laying flat on my back. I have no blood in my urine, or any kidney problems at all. It happens when I breathe deeply and I get this radiating pain going around my back and upper abdomen, just above my belly button.

Upper abdominal pain is associated with many common digestive problems, and a range of other underlying conditions can cause pain in this area. Severe cases can be life-threatening, and it is important to identify the cause of upper abdominal pain.

Hello~Since this has been on-going for over a year now, it is probably not serious, it sounds more like a pinched nerve in that area to me. I would see either a chiropractor of a physical therapist or even try massage therapy.
The chiropractor will take some x-rays of the area and then go over the results with you, if he/she thinks it is a chiropractic issue, then you will get an adjustment, after a few, the pain should start getting better.

The Physical therapist will probably work on certain stretches for that area to help relieve the tightness and/or pain.

The massage therapy would relax that entire area, thus, making it easier to breath and possibly relax the pinched area as well.

Would so like to clarify that the only way the pain goes away, is when I sit on the edge of the bed or when I stand up and walk.
