Pain in different areas of your head can point you to the cause of your headaches.

Most likely in would think you headache is the result of dehydration. You're supposed to drink a minimum of 1 gallon of water per day which many people do not do. Lack of water inhibits several processes in the body and could be the reason behind your headaches... with dehydration i believe the pain would be towards the front of the top of your head in your frontal lobe.

By welders flash are you talking about trauma to the eyes by light? You may want to see a optometrist as you may be getting headaches in your occipital lobe (towards the back of the top of your head and the back of your head) and you may need some optical device to remedy that.
