High Corsitol level

I have just had my blood results and my cortisol level was over the recommended ranges at 1400. Should I be worried?

Sustained high cortisol is very hard on the body.  It usually implies that a person is very stressed, but it could also mean there's a problem with your adrenal glands.  Have you talked with the doctor who ordered the test?

It depends! if it is short term don't worry, becausee cortisol resists stress and inflammation.Factors such as trauma of almost any type, infections, intense heat or cold, surgery, injections of drugs increases cortisol level.BUT if the cortisol level remain significantly high for a long period it's not good because it is associated with adrenal diebetes and obesity (perticulary deposition of fat in the chest and head)

Eating spicy foods, eggs, and fattening foods will cause high cholestrol. If you eat Oatmeal with honey, bananas, raisins in it at least 4 times a week, or cheerios, and eat more vegetables, fruits, fish, chicken, but stay away from fat, and eggs, your cholestrol will go back to normal. I did, and I'm much better. If it stays high, you can get heart attacks or other artery problems
