How long does it take for fish bone scratch on tonsil take to heal?

Last Sunday night I ate a fish, mackerel, which had a lot of bones, since then I been feeling something sharp in the tonsil and throat area.

It's not as bad as it was, after drinking plenty of fluids eating bread and stuff.

I can swallow alright, and it doesn't hurt, but sometimes, once I swallow my saliva it hurts, like a sharp pain behind and above the tonisl, although could be below the tonsil.

I can't see anything in my tonsil, there's a white line that doesn't hurt or move when i rub it with cotton buds, so unsure if that's it. Sometimes it does ache.

Is it likely just a scratch? I read online to wait a couple of days, should the pain be gone by now?

Hello~I know this was last year, but in case someone else has this issue, I will answer. I think all you did was just scratch that area and that is why it sort of hurts at times.  Issues like that usually clear up in a few days to a week, if they don't, then possibly seeing your GP might be in order.
