I am getting bruises on both my legs without any reason

Hello All,
I am a patient of hypothyroidism, my levels are within range for a while now. I recenlty noticed two bruises, one on each leg. I got CBC, LFT and Blood culture done to test whats wrong.

My hemoglobin has dropped from 12 to 10.6, RBC and platelets have also decreased but still within range. WBC has increased a bit and have sightly higher bilrubin direct.

I started taking folic acid twice a day and the bruises I had previously healed within 2 to 3 days. I again have two new yellowish bruises, one on each thigh. I have had pain in my neck, shoulders and right arm. Need help in identifying whats wrong.

Looking forward to your response.

People with hypothyroidism are more susceptible to platelet disorders, which can cause easy bruising.  This is long, but scroll down to the "General signs you may have hypothyroidism" section: https://www.healthtestingcenters.com/what-you-need-know-about-thyroid-disorders/

There's a good Thyroid Disorders forum on this site, so you might want to ask over there too: https://www.medhelp.org/forums/Thyroid-Disorders/show/73

Hello~Sometimes the reason for easy bruising is a Vitamin C and Bioflavonoid deficiency. I would get a good, high potency Vitamin C and also a bioflavonoid supplement, the two are synergistic and lots of times with help with the bruising.
