I feel like i have something stuck in my digestive system in my chest area.

Whenever I eat, drink, or breathe heavily, I feel like I have something stuck in my digestive system around the chest. I thought It would go away after a went to sleep, but I awoke the next morning to find it was still there. it feels like I have something blocking space in the system and causes great pain when swallowing water or food.

Hello~How are you feeling now? If it is the same and you haven't seen a doctor, than I highly suggest that you do, it may be something such as GERD or a hiatal hernia, but it is best to have issues like this checked by your doctor.

I think it's reasonable to see a gastrointerologist for upper endoscopy (EGD). Your symptoms are suggestive of a condition called achalasia. It's a loss of relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter and possibly loss of movement in the distal esophagus. People often have difficulty with swallowing both solids and liquids.
