Our turns a purple stain. But when the top of the lid that no one is sitting on shows the same stain it doesn't make since. Could it be a chemical we are using to clean the toilets or the chemicals used in the manufacture of the product?
People, its not wet blue jeans, and its not from any dye or cleaning product. Do what the very first and most credible answer suggests and go get some acid test strips and check your acid level. This is reasonable answer to consider since the blue tint on the toilet seat IS ONLY WHERE CONTACT HAS OCCURRED BETWEEN THE SKIN AND THE TOILET.
It's simple! Wet blue jeans, possibly on a rainy day, transfer blue indigo dye to one's buttocks. Siting on a toilet seat transfers it to the seat. Try it yourself.
I am on keto too. I have or should I say had been postmenopausal for 11 years. I think my progesterone levels are getting higher and I have been celebrate 11 years so I know I am not pregnant. Keto also cures infertility. I feel kind of campy like I am about to start a period. A woman will never forget how her body feels when that use to occur every month. My toilet seat began turning blue about a week ago when I did a back to back fast of 24 hours each. I thought it was the shadow of the sun coming in through the blue curtain in my bathroom window reflecting on the seat. But when I visited my mom and dad I used the toilet in the small bathroom. The seat turned blue and the side wall where my leg came in contact. So now I know its the keto lifestyle. We can't be acidic because no sugar is allowed on the diet, not even high carb fruits. My skin is very soft now. I also use collegen in my coffee and smoothie bullets. Now I don't feel alone in this phenomenon.
This happened to me last January for a few weeks and it's happening again now. I'm in my 60's, not pregnant, not on any drugs or new supplements. Talked to my MD, chiropractor, and pharmacist - all women, none of them had ever heard of this. Cleared up on its own. An alcohol swab of my hip or behind would turn bright blue, Had to buy new toilet seat and sheets. This is crazy!! Has to be a medical explanation!, but what? Is it from having a Christmas tree in the house? Eating fruitcake? So weird, and not something you can really ask people about.
Ok...well I only noticed this on a soft plastic seat which we only have in my bathroom. I didn't notice it up until today. So I started to think of things it might be. As most of you, my body had no traces of dye or anything. Then I thought of a jumpsuit I bought recently, which is faux leather, black, however, the inside is nylon. It has a zipper from top to literally bottom, to make it easier to go to the bathroom (nothing kinky I swear). I sat on that toilet with this jumpsuit about 4 days ago, so why the colour now? I'm 54 years old, and I'm questioning some of you about hormones, and would love someone providing me with some kind of explanation....and no I'm not pregnant lol : )
Oh, I should add, I just recently started a new supplement, and an all natural burn fat capsule, which I have to take 3 in the morning and 3 at night. Then I was wondering, the past 3 days I have felt lethargic and very tired, is this some kind of Iron deficiency?
I posted this on a site I found and could not believe how many people have had this happen..This is the site:

Hi Steph~It appears to me that your body could be over acid. If a person has too much acid in their system, their body will sometimes cause items that come in contact with it to either fade or turn a grayish color. I would buy some acid testing strips at a health food store and check your saliva first thing in the morning before eating, it will show just how acidic your body is. If it is really high, there is a great product called "Cell Power" that helps to normalize your body's pH. If a person is too acidic, they will get all kinds of illness and just not feel well. Also, try to eat more green, leafy veggies, this will help to neutralize your body some as well.
Good luck and keep us posted
