I kissed someone with strep throat yesterday. What should I do?

I am experiencing no symptoms at the moment. I kissed a girl yesterday (approximately 20 hours ago) who just texted me today and informed me she has strep throat. She has been given antibiotics by her doctor, so it is definitely not just a sore throat.

Is there anything I can do proactively to avoid developing symptoms? Should I go to a doctor tonight?

Just relax there and take it easy. A long as you do not have symptoms you need not go anywhere.

Yes, Goldfish, apple cider vinegar is wonderful, the one with the "mother" in it is the best. I use it for many health issues, I had completely forgotten about it when I gave my answer. Braggs is the best by far.

I am a strong believer that apple cider vinegar is a cure all.
"Apple cider vinegar possesses a variety of healing properties. This substance eliminates infection by flushing the system and filtering toxins. This vinegar also carries several vitamins and minerals that enhance recovery by supporting the immune system."
Make sure, if you choose to try this, that you get the organic kind that has the "mother" in it.  The kind i use is made by a company called Braggs and is in the isle with all the other vinegars.  Normally on the bottom shelf. The way to prepare it is on the bottle. Its like water and honey, add some cayenne if you can stand it (it also has good antibacterial proprieties). Takes some getting used to.
Please go see a doctor if you are experiencing a high fever or vomiting.  Hope you can avoid being sick.  Its the worst!

Keep your immune system strong. I suggest taking extra amounts of the Vitamins "D", "A", "C", Zinc and the herb Echinacea. This are all immune builders and are good to take during the winter.
