Is my wound infected?

Hello this past Sunday July 19th I wrecked my dirt bike into the dirt. I slid across the dry dirt causing a friction burn on my left arm. I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide whenever I got home but that wasn't until a few hours after I crashed. For the past few days I have been experiencing pain on my wound it seems like the pain has been constant since the incident. On Tuesday July 21st I noticed clear and yellow discharge on the wound it is very sticky. The would also smells bad like wet dog. Do you think I should get it examined by a doctor? Thank you for reading. I will also answer any questions you have :)

Since it's over a week since you posted, I do hope that you did seek urgent medical attention and things are now improving.

What you described was that of an infection and will have needed a course of antibiotics.

Bacteria can enter through any breaks in the skin and infections can spread and become life threatening.  Scrapes and wounds take longer to heal for people who have pre diabetes or diabetes.

Hope you are on the road to recovery.
Best wishes.

It is infected. You need to see a physician immediately who will decide whether debridement or drainage is necessary and prescribe an appropriate anribiotic. You can't let these infections get away. They can end up to be life threatening.
