Itchy skin, headache, nausea, weakness always

It began in late 2019. I traveled to a remote area and had to sleep in bug-infected room. I had several bites and since then I have experienced these symptoms:
(i) itchy skin with milaria-like rashes on body
(ii) persistent headache
(iii) nausea
(iv) general weakness

I'm in Ghana where Lyme disease is generally unheard of. What is wrong with me and what tests must I conduct? Please help!

Argh, that's worrisome.  I agree to see a doctor. I'm not sure how easy or difficult that is in your location.  But important.  Since you mentioned lyme disease, I thought I'd give some information on that.  Here is the Center for Disease Control's info on it. https://www.cdc.gov/lyme/index.html  Do you ever remember seeing a 'bullseye' shaped marking?  That often happens if you get lyme from a tic.  I think it could be easy to miss though if you aren't looking or it or paying attention. But just curious if you remember anything like that. I will tell you that they say generally that the rash associated with lyme disease does NOT itch.  So, that is something to consider with your list of symptoms.  And normally the rash with lymes disease is in the first 30 days after being infected. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/lyme-disease/symptoms-causes/syc-20374651  So, from reading these two sites and with what you've stated, that makes less inclined to think that it is lymes but you should confirm that with a doctor to be sure.

There is another autoimmune issue to look into called lupus. https://www.lupusresearch.org/understanding-lupus/what-is-lupus/symptoms/  Your symptoms could be placed there as well although again, the itchy rash doesn't quite fit. The rash with lupus often looks more like a pigmentation darkening in key spots such as over the bridge of nose and on cheeks, above lip.

So, that is some things to read about and see if any match in your opinion.  Obviously all require testing and a doctors visit to diagnose.  But read about these and see if any sound similar to your situation and then we'll continue talking.

Hello~I highly recommend that you see your physician. The symptoms you are having are lasting way too long, they definitely need to be checked as to why.
