I've been feeling sick/dizzy/weird for the past 1-2 months.

Hello, I'm 18 years old and for the past 1-2 months I've been feeling weird. Let me give you some information. I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and I've been taking T4 pills since I was first diagnosed, up to now, I'm doing pretty well with it. I'm a computer enthusiast and a hardcore user, I play games for hours with breaks. I'm in a rather good physical condition, I work out and generally I'm pretty healthy. I feel a slight dizziness/lightheadedness while laying down, sitting down and starring at my computer monitor. As per writing this, I''m getting this feeling of dizziness, like I can't find my balance but it's just a feeling, it's not like I actually can't hold my balance. I don't feel nauseous but I get this feeling of being moved, sort of like vertigo but not exactly. I don't know. I'm kinda scared because I don't want to be malfunctioning, what should I do? Where should I go to seek help? Also, when laying down and when I move my legs, I feel like I'm moving way more than I should. Recently as per writing this, for the last 4-5 days I've been feeling upset in my stomach for no apparent reason, I have tendencies to vomit without actually eating anything. I've gone these 4 days eating very little and not being active. I've been drinking regular amounts of water tho.

Hello~I am so sorry you are having these uncomfortable issues. I have had them off and on my self, but for me, they are due to anxiety and stress.  Are you under any new stress?

Sometimes, when we sit at the computer for long lengths, like I do as well, our necks can become tight, thus, occasionally causing some nerves to be pinched, this can cause the dizziness and other feelings you are having. Perhaps if you get up and move for a few minutes every hour, this will help. As to the legs feeling funny, that can be due to fear and you may subconsciously be nervous about the dizzy feelings, the entire nervous system reacts to stimuli and together.

If it continues or gets worse, then probably it is a good idea to see your GP, he/she will no doubt order some blood work and x-rays. If all comes back "normal" then I highly suggest a chiropractor, mine helps my dizziness and all anxiety symptoms.

I hope you feel better soon, these feelings are not fun.
