Lymph nodes - serious or just the daily body vs. bacteria/infection battle?

Hi, I'm Danielle. I am 16 years old. I have ADHD. (It's not severe.) About a month and a have ago I was given antibiotics for a bacterial infection that I received via mosquito bite that had built a bacterial "pus" sac I guess is what she said, which in case the mosquito did its business, but pushed bacteria to a place it didn't belong in my skin etc. SO the bacteria had a party for about maybe 3 or 5 weeks til I could see my pediatrician. But, I'm going to be honest, I'll admit I'm a hypochondriac to some extent. And, I've had lymph nodes become swollen in my neck on both sides at different times and today june 18th, 2016, my right sub mandibular lymph nodes or glands are quite swollen and pretty painful to the touch. But also, I believe it was 2 days ago, the right side of my nose approximately next to my right nostril that little area between the nose and my nostrils the side next the nostril, has become swollen. Today I was able to see a head or at least a pimple of some sort where the skin was red and irritated. This is a burning type of drainage. I popped it and drained it. But, as I finished doing so, I felt around my cheekbone between the eye, nose, and the nostrils and I felt a little lump (it was movable depending on which angle I pushed it at) and it was tender and it is firm I'm not sure if it's a lymph node or a self made lump. But, it is painful. Also,on the opposite side of my nose in the exact same spot there isn't any lump(s).Should I be concerned and warn my parents?

Yes I would let your parents know. Infections are nothing to trifle with. It could be a reaction to med, left over from bacterial infection. You could need further treatment... See doctor to be sure.

Hello~

I don't think it is anything to worry about, you are probably just over-sensitive to all that is occurring and you notice everything.

If it makes you feel better, then sure, let your folks know and talk to the doctor, peace of mind is priceless.
