Pain the Foot - What can I do to get better?

I had pain in the second toe which I think is causing pain at the ball of the foot too. I went to an orthopedic and he recommend an MRI as the XRay didnt show anything. I was asked to wear a custom made orthotics with a metatarsal pad but that does not seem to helping in relieving the pain either. What can i do to heal the foot? Below is the MRI report.
The MRI Report states - Very subtle, focal patchy, hyper intense signal areas are seen on PDFSAT images in the proximal phalanx of the second toe of teh right foot with preservation of cortices is seen represents marrow edema.
Subtle, focal hyper intense signal is seen in STIR images in the subcutaneous soft tissue along the proximal phalanges of the 2nd and 3rd toes with thin linear fluid is noted along inferior aspect of head of 2nd metatarsal and in 2nd webspace soft tissue represent subcutaneous soft tissue edema and inflammation.
