Poison ivy for bee stings?

Hi i just watched a guy who calls himself "The Naturist" put poison ivy on his bee stings, and then eat some of it.  A minute later he looked not so good.  But he says that you can treat bee stings with poison ivy.  Is this true? Here is where he says it: http://www.vimeo.com/6275064

The Naturalist is a video put out by a shoe company. Its just a funny video depicting what NOT to do when your outdoors. I would say use your best common sense when watching things on the internet, and attempting to do them at home.

From the Teva.com disclaimer on "the naturalist":

"While there is no shortage of "How-To" wilderness survival webisodes making the rounds on youtube, most attempt to teach valuable lessons that ensure a safe and enjoyable experience in the great outdoors. The Naturist is NOT one of them."

I don't think I would've taken a chance with the beehive in the first place.  I don't know if the poison ivy story is really true, because I have become allergic to wasp stings, so I wouldn't have even attempted to annoy the bees in the first place.  That said, I do know that stinging nettles are also used medicinally for allergies.  But, you don't have to get stung by the nettles to get the benefits from it.  You buy it dried at the herbalist or even the vitamin store.  It can be bought either in bulk or already in capsules.  It's supposed to really work with allergies.  It wasn't really effective for me, but that might be just me, too.  Everyone is different.  I haven't heard anything about poison ivy being used medicinally, though.  I don't live in an area that has poison ivy, so I'm not familiar with it in the wild.  Just the nettles.
