Pressure on the Head

I am a healthy 19 year old female. Recently, I began experiencing a sensation of pressure within the upper portion of my skull. At first, it was brought on whenever I would tilt my head a certain way. Now the pressure is so tight, that it comes on at any given moment and remains present for quite a while. I haven't yet experienced any other symptoms such as dizziness or loss of orientation. However the pressure does bring on a slight sensation of pain, similar to a headache. The feeling of pressure becomes more prevalent during times of high heat and humidity, but those are not the only factors which trigger it. I have felt it sitting straight up, as well as lying down on my back. The sensation is even more prevalent when lying on my belly. A few weeks prior to the sensations of pressure, I also experienced a few small episodes of rapidly brought-on dizziness. I have no idea what could be causing any of this.  Any suggestions?

Do you have a history of sinus problems, migraines and/or allergies?

If this is persisting, I would recommend consulting your PCP/Family Physician to further investigate.

Hey, any time you have on going dizziness you need to seek a doctor... get checked out! Could be blood pressure, migraine or even more serious.

It sounds like your blood pressure has sudden spikes to high levels and that causes the pressure feeling. Strenuous activity especially in bad weather will increase this feeling.
