Question about an abscess

I was diagnosed with an abscess and given clindamycin HCl 300 mg yesterday. Today it was naturally draining on its own but due to where it is located I can't cover it so I couldn't let it continue draining. I ended up pushing/squeezing it too help drain it and a ton of stuff came out (sorry for that nasty imagery). Is this unsafe? Is it possible that I push the infection deeper?

Likely won't push infection deeper. If you go to youtube you will see countless people showing off their abcess drainage imagery.  Stay on your clindamyacin and if you find it difficult to keep it drained go to your doc it might need to be packed with gauze for a bit.
