Sharp Sternum Pain and Upper Back Pain

About sox weeks or so ago I got a cold, with a cough that lasted long after my cold symptoms. I went to my primary care physician for a UTI and he said if the coughing was for some reason caused by a bacteria the antibiotic he prescribed (Bactrim) would help that as well as the UTI.  my chest to hurt from the coughing, but then it went away. I’ve continued to have a little bit of drainage and irritation in the back of my throat, but I’m chalking that up to allergies because I feel completely fine otherwise and finished my antibiotics. However, this morning I woke up and stretched my arms, and I got a sharp pain that feels like it’s right under my sternum and in the same place as my upper back. Besides a few lone coughs a couple days ago, I haven’t been coughing for almost two weeks.
I’m a relatively healthy 21 yr old female who, besides being prone to colds, does not have any medical issues. I tend to overthink my health a lot, so I was wondering if this pain is something to be concerned about?

Hello~The fact that you got this pain when stretching your arms tells me it could be a pinched nerve or mis-place vertebrae. See how you feel as the day goes on, if it doesn't go away or gets worse, then maybe see your doctor or even a chiropractor. If it is a pinched nerve due to a vertebrae impinging it, the chiropractor will be able to help.
