I'm 44 never had a fever. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer a body scan revealed that I had 2 spleen. This was why mo fevers. I also always have white blood cell counts with no infection. Those too because of double spleen. Also called a functioning auxiliary spleen. 10% of the world's population has a double spleen but only a few of them have both spleen that work! Most have an extra spleen that doesn't work.
I will note that every doctor that does blood work throughout your life will say you are sick because those with no fevers have high white cell counts. Our white cells are a bigger army then most peoples so we don't get fevers because we don't need to, our army is already on it
Hope this helps.
Hello~Maybe your system just does not function as efficiently as others, I tried to look this up but couldn't find anything, except for reasons for older people over 65. Here is the link, https://www.livescience.com/6334-dont-adults-fevers.html
Other than that, I just don't know.
Hi IARodrigues, did you ever get an answer to your question? I also have never had a fever in my life, although have gotten sick many times in my life (ear infections as a kid, food poisoning, colds, bad systemic infection once...) Doctors also look at me in disbelief whennj tell them I never have had a recorded fever. I'd like to know for me and my family as well.
I don't think there is a name for it and it shouldn't prevent you from diagnosing you or your child should you have an infection. Tugging at ears? Crying a lot? Get baby checked for ear infection. My kids had ear infections without fever. They diagnose an ear infection by looking in. So, you'll just need to read the signs of your child. Go by other symptoms and you should be fine as also, fever can be tricky to read lots of times. I've always had bad thermometers so go by general signs. (I've tried every thermometer under the sun for at home and all seem to confuse me!). good luck
