Surgeon Age

Do you think 36 years old with 4 years of experience is too young and inexperienced to be an assistant for my surgeon who will be performing the neurosurgery together? He is an orthopedic assistant surgeon who will be putting the cage in after my surgeon takes out my herniated disc in my neck. I was told my neurosurgeon would be in charge of 90% of the surgery and he would be in charge of finishing it. I am skeptical in his skills as and a worried since it's a surgery that involves the spine and even that 10% could go wrong.

Hello~I would not worry, they would not have someone work with the surgeon if they did not feel he was highly qualified. I do not think that 36 years is too young at all, in my opinion, the younger ones are usually up on the latest techniques and can sometimes know more than the older ones. I am sure all will go well. Try not to worry.
