Vitals taken oxygen was 90. Is that normal?

Is it normal for your oxygen level to be at 90? The nurse's didn't seem to worried about it. Anyone else's input would be significantly appreciated.

Hey there, i'm sorry not sure..... it was what ever the oxygen test on the finger is.  Thank you for responding. Yep, hands do look like the capillaries are showing or that reddish purplish color. Pretty freaky, only 27 but am an ex smoker. Again thank you for replying.

Do you mean your pulseox (or SpO2)?  90 is actually low for a pulseox, but if it was some other test, 90 might be fine.  At 90, you might start turning a bit blue.  If you have COPD, the levels might be at 90.  A healthy person should have at least 95% saturation.  You can get a false low reading if you were wearing nail polish or if you tend to have poor circulation in your fingers (fingers tend to be purple-ish or cold all the time).
