Vitamin D Deficiency ?

Hello all! I have not been feeling well for the past year or so and over the past few months I seem to be getting worse/exacerbated symptoms. My symptoms are as listed below:

Severe anxiety/slightly agoraphobic
Sad mood/fearful thoughts
Burning ear (especially if I sleep on it at night) - then wake up to excess earwax/fluid
Muscle aches and weakness
Irritability
Hair starting to thin (always had very thick hair)
Brittle nails (my nails were always thick and grew fast)
Fatigue - I sleep 8 hours a night and still wake up weak, sleepy and drained
I have NO energy ever!
Constipation (BM about 3-4 times a week if I'm lucky)
Symptoms are worse before & during period
Immense pressure on face, sinuses and head
Pain in neck
Pain in jaw (was diagnosed with TMJ last year)
Dizziness/Vertigo
Always feel 'out of it'
When I lift I get a weak feeling in my lower back and it radiates 'tingles' down my legs
I feel like my eye muscles are weak and they feel very heavy
Feeling like my brain cannot 'absorb' or make sense of things
Whole body aches - joints click/pain/weakness
Sometimes it feels like I cannot hold myself up
Symptoms feel a bit better if sitting or laying down, always worse when walking or standing too long

I have had multiple blood tests that have come back negative, tested for thyroid diseases, autoimmune, arthritis etc. I went to 2 ENT doctors and was 'fine'. Had a thyroid scan and I had a nodule/goiter but it was 'fine'. The only 'red flag' was my Vitamin D. I had blood taken in October 2013 and my Vit D was at 35, I had it taken again last weekend and it returned at 26. From October to Present I feel my symptoms have gotten worse. Could this all be from Vitamin D deficiency? I also wanted to state information that may be of use: I am a 28 year old female, since March 2013 I have cut out eating anything dairy, gluten and soy. I do not take any multivitamins presently (I am starting them again tomorrow) and just started taking Vitamin D 2000 IU on Saturday.

Again, I ask, can all these symptoms be from low vitamin D?

Thank you for reading!

-Marisa

I had a lot of the same things that's going on with you I had so many test and nothing showed I was in the hospital twice, getting MRI,CAT SCAN, VERTIGO
all sorts of blood test, nothing could be found; I was tired all of the time, after all of these test, my Primary Dr. suggest i seek help from a Therapist, I knew something was terribly wrong, and i felt all alone. My Grandson wanted me to take him somewhere but I could barely make it from the bedroom to the front. I told him i was too tired, he said to me mama you have to try harder it's not like you have cancer or something. A call my Dr. and asked her to test for cancer she said I didn,t have any of the signs for cancer. I said do it any way. We started with a mammogram the next 2 days I was called to have a biopsy, I had stage 3 cancer, It was feed off of the estrogen august I was diagnosed 2011, and breast remove November 2011. Please get checked out

You didn't mention what your typical daily diet is... fruits? vegetables? Since you cut out all dairy it is obvious that a vitamin deficiency is your problem. No food contain any Vitamin D at all, no vegetables, no fruits, nothing but dairy products which Vitamin D has been added, and orange juice also which Vitamin D is added. I take 30,000iu or more a day when I can't get out in the sunshine. (Vitamin D is not really a Vitamin it's a hormone). Also Vitamin D3 is the preferred supplement, and it is basically useless without Magnesium because Magnesium makes Vitamin D absorbable. Also Calcium, Zinc, Selenium work with Vitamin D. Hope this helps.
