I cooked some chicken and ate it a few days back, but I fear I may have messed up while doing so. The day before I actually cooked the chicken, I put it in the microwave to defrost it so I could marinate it. I put it in the fridge with the marinade after defrosting it in the microwave. I cooked it in the air fryer and it was fully cooked, however, I still worry. Could I get sick? Surely fully cooking it, despite the microwaving and refreezing, would kill all the bacteria and make it safe to eat, no?

I have had food poisoning from chicken. It's brutal. You'd know and it comes on quickly. So you should be good.

Hello~If you have already eaten it and it has been a few days and you still aren't sick, then you will be fine.
